Dosist: 60-Second Summary
Those interested in CBD-only products should note that all of Dosist’s current formulas include THC, as well as CBD. However, those who live in states where THC consumption is legal—and don’t mind the substance—should also note that Dosist offers an exceptionally innovative delivery system for those cannabinoids, ensuring that customers receive a “perfect dose” every time to keep the focus on wellness—and getting the results one is looking for.
Dosist Brand Review
**NOTE: All current Dosist products are made from cannabis—not hemp—extract, and include THC as well as CBD.
Dosist is a wellness-focused company, intent on helping people manage their own health and happiness through the benefits of all-natural cannabinoids.
Receiving the proper dosage of CBD and THC is at the very nucleus of that autonomy, the company portends, which was the thought behind its patented Dosist pen, an innovative design that promises to offer that Goldilocks amount with each hit. (In technical terms, the amount it delivers is 2.25 mg of cannabidiol/THC per puff.)
Temperature control is a big part of the process, with the pen specifically designed to burn cannabidiol, tetrahydrocannabinol and terpenes, as opposed to other vapes, which are typically built in the vein of e-cigarettes and meant to burn up tobacco. To achieve the “perfect dose,” the device heats up at 500 degrees—for exactly three seconds—to vaporize the CBD oil and THC.
And when we say exactly three seconds, we mean exactly three seconds. After that point, the pen will give a small vibration, informing a user that the dosage has been delivered. It will also then shut off, eliminating the possibility for longer pulls—or more CBD and THC intake.
Meeting these exacting measurements are the exacting cannabidiol-based “formulas” the company offers, which are crafted with a focus on consistency and named after the desired effects they’re intended to bring about, including “sleep,” “bliss,” “calm,” “relief,” “arouse,” and “passion.” (The company says each formula contains precisely 73% cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabinol, 15% other “minor” cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, and 2% terpenes.)
Prices aren’t listed on the formulas, which mix THC and CBD in varying ratios to help achieve their desired effect. The company says costs are dictated by specific retailers. Pens come in two varieties—200 doses or 50 doses—and those prices, too, are set individually, though the company says it recommends a price of $100 and $40, respectively.
And when the Dosist pen has worn out—typically after 6 months, according to the company—customers can even return it (and get a $5 discount on their next purchase for the move), as Dosist says many parts of it can be recycled, reused, or re-purposed, including the plastic exterior, battery, and microprocessor, among other parts.
Bottom line: By leading with science and focusing on precision, Dosist keeps the emphasis on wellness and the natural benefits of their products. The company shows all kinds of innovation in both its line of CBD and THC-based “formulas” and their delivery method. And its exacting nature can also be glimpsed on the lab results page, which shows proof of product safety. We wish they’d be more specific about where and how their cannabis plants are sourced and be a bit more charitable—though we laud their recycling program—but otherwise, anal retentive tendencies have never looked so good.
