( votes)Fully Activated: 60-Second Summary
Fully Activated was borne of a classic tenet of advertising: When you find something that works, you want to tell everyone you know about it. And that includes our furry and four-legged friends. With that goal in mind, the company produces a wide variety of small batch-made CBD oil products to help both humans and pets deal with a wide range of ills. And while we love their caring philosophy, we’d like to see just a bit more hard logistics from the company, including any results of third-party lab testing.
Fully Activated Brand Review
Fully Activated is the fully-realized dream of founder Nick Russo, who began his journey toward understanding the natural potential of cannabidiol in the early 2000s, when he was living with chronic pain and searching for solutions.
But Russo found the CBD oil he was experimenting with was not only helpful for his spectrum of ills. The potent potion seemed to help alleviate the battery of issues—including everything from skin and bone infections to emotional distress—that were afflicting the pack of rescue dogs living with his mother at the time, as well.
This realization was a seed of inspiration for Russo, who, disappointed with the “profit-first” approach of many cannabidiol companies, decided to start mixing his own CBD oil, made at first from hemp he had grown personally. He eventually switched to the organic, CBD-rich hemp grown by a friend and fellow cannabidiol enthusiast he met in Colorado.
The tipping point for launching the company was when Russo’s dog, Buca, who had been consuming CBD dog treats her whole life, died of old age. And to this day, the treats she grew up loving are a keystone of Fully Activated’s expansive online store. (The CBD dog biscuits, made from ingredients any human could safely consume, are even gluten-free!)
Other pet- (and human-) friendly offerings include a range of CBD oil tinctures, coming in both the CBD isolate and full-spectrum variety, as well as in a range of strengths and sizes. CBD isolate powder, isolate and full-spectrum cannabidiol capsules, and a range of CBD topicals round out the large collection of products.
Ingredients for all items hit the all-natural mark, including in the CBD salves—which come in a range of regular, tattoo after-care, and burn care selections—CBD lip balm, and CBD roller, which we especially appreciate. Prices range from $10 to $85 for a single item, and several “kits” are also available, from $85 to $135.
Unfortunately, however, we get no proof that the star ingredient, the cannabidiol itself, is as safe as the rest of the mix. Fully Activated mentions several times that its CBD oil is third-party tested, but we see no results or Certificates of Analysis to speak to this. And while we admittedly love an animal-loving operation, that’s simply not enough for us to award our all-important safety badge.
Bottom line: Fully Activated comes across as a company sincerely interested in spreading the natural benefits of cannabidiol, and the range of thoughtful and all-natural products it offers further speaks to this goal. However, we’d like to see just a little bit more before awarding several key badges. Third-party lab test results would be a great start!
