Happy Tea: 60-Second Summary
Have you heard of Happy Tea yet? The brand has nearly half-a-million followers on Instagram, and people are loving their tasty, CBD-infused teas. These packets of fun are perfect for those who want no-mess, CBD on the go. We give Happy Tea mad props for being the first in the space to develop an on-the-go CBD tea mixer. But at present, there’s not enough information on the CBD oil they actually use for us to rate them higher.
Happy Tea Brand Review
Happy Tea was founded by Michael G., a ‘regular’ person like you and me, who struggled hard-core with panic attacks and anxiety. He eventually discovered that CBD helped his health issues, and he wanted to provide a fun way for people with anxiety to enjoy the natural benefits of CBD. Something tasty and portable.
Then, boom! Happy Tea was born!
Happy Tea’s flagship product is their CBD tea mix powder. Simply add a packet (10mg cannabidiol in each) to a bottle/glass of water, shake or stir, and drink up! You can get these in two flavors, lemon zen and mixed berry. Or you can buy the CBD tea shots, a more concentrated form meant for less water in the zen punch flavor.
After Happy Tea’s wild success with their CBD tea powder — they’ve got a huge social following as well as mainstream media nods — they launched other CBD products, including CBD gummies, CBD oil drops, a CBD pain cream, and their Tornado mixer, a blender that perfectly complements their CBD powder.
We like Happy Tea’s innovative spirit and their great-tasting formulas, but we’re slightly concerned we don’t know more about the CBD oil itself that’s in their products.
We know that the brand uses CBD oil that has been CO2 extracted, and it’s apparently ‘organically grown’. But in order to qualify for the Quality Badge, we need to know the geographic source of the hemp. This is an important determinant in quality, as imported hemp (especially from Asia) is often loaded with contaminants, not to mention it’s bad news for a company’s carbon footprint.
We’re also perturbed that Happy Tea provides zero test results for their CBD online. The brand doesn’t even state specifically what they test for, only that their products are ‘thoroughly tested for safety and quality’. We definitely need more information.
Finally, we’re also surprised that a CBD brand with this massive of a presence on social media seemingly does nothing to give back. We recommend they donate, for example, to a nonprofit that promotes mental health (since the founder struggled with anxiety). Something like this would make us really happy!
Bottom Line – Happy Tea sells popular and tasty CBD tea mixes, but they’ve got some work to do on CBD oil testing and the charity front.
