Hemptouch 60-Second Summary
Hemptouch is an interesting case. According to our methodology, they rank low, but we are honestly impressed by this homegrown operation backed by passionate individuals. The company hails from Slovenia, where hundreds of years of hemp cultivation inform their organic practices. Founded by an herbalist, this CBD skincare brand has some of the cleanest and premium offerings in the business. They utilize powerful herbs and essential oils and use absolutely zero synthetic ingredients. If only they would both conduct and post test results on their cannabidiol, we’d be over the moon for Hemptouch!
Hemptouch Brand Review
Hemptouch was founded by Silvija, an herbalist and biologist who firmly believes herbs and plants hold the answer to almost every question, especially when it comes to the skin. Her main idea is to harness the power of CBD oil and herbs to enable sensitive, problematic skin to nurture itself. She asserts that everyone can have beautiful skin with the right combination of oils and herbs, daily massage, and hydration. Hemptouch believes that balance is key to wellness and that nature is the best medicine. And we’re on board.
In addition to a solid philosophy and background, we absolutely love Hemptouch’s commitment to sustainability. They purposely create a small footprint by sourcing locally whenever possible and carefully selecting their materials from sustainable origins. They even mention their organic hemp farmer by name. It’s clear to us that Hemptouch is a homegrown company with heart and genuine purpose. We feel good about what they’re up to.
The Hemptouch product line is sourced with local, organic hemp processed via supercritical CO2 extraction. Their skincare products are all dermatologically tested by J.S. Hamilton labs (never on animals) and have immaculate ingredients. But unfortunately, because no tests are posted for their CBD oil for purity and contaminants, we are unable to award the Safety Badge.
Lack of testing aside, we’re kind of in love with the Hemptouch line. Their CBD balms, face creams, and cleansers have powerful, healing ingredients. Some you’ve probably heard of, like calendula, chlorella, and hempseed oil, and others are more rare like damask rose and cannabis and orange blossom hydrolate. These hydrolates are flower waters created by steam distillation with terpenes and therapeutic benefits for the skin. Hemptouch uses the cannabis hydrolate as a base for all their CBD skin products. Cool stuff.
Hemptouch also offers full spectrum CBD oil tinctures in olive oil and CBD sprays with MCT oil and natural flavors like chocolate and coconut. Prices range from about $5 for a sample pack to around $100 for their 1500 mg CBD tinctures. Shipping is available throughout Europe and the United States and Canada.
Bottom Line – We genuinely think that Hemptouch is a premium CBD vendor, especially when it comes to their all-natural skincare. Organic Slovenian hemp and a commitment to sustainability are great underpinnings to start from. We wish the brand would post independent laboratory results for their CBD products and engage in charitable work to earn a higher rating
