King Kanine: 60-Second Summary
We have to hand it to King Kanine. This all-star CBD brand for pets easily earns each of our badges with flying colors. They’ve won multiple awards, including the title of best CBD products by Pet Business, and we can see why. King Kanine is charitable, innovative, and their broad spectrum cannabidiol is writhe with beneficial terpenes — a real winner we totally would feel good about giving our furry friends. Plus, they have some of the most comprehensive CoAs we’ve seen in the CBD for pets sector. Bravo.
King Kanine Brand Review
The King Kanine mission is simple — to promote pet wellness inside and out. Humans aren’t the only ones with fully developed endocannabinoid systems. In fact, all animals, even invertebrates, have them. The majority of the King Kanine line (even the items that don’t contain CBD) can be used on all sorts of pets, from small dogs to horses and any other furry companions you may have.
Sourcing here is clean — pesticide-free hemp grown right here in the U.S. Not only does King Kanine employ CO2 extraction, they have up-to-date solvents tests for each product, so we can double check their claims of solvent-free CBD.
King Kanine has all the requirements for our Safety Badge and then some, including tests for pesticides, cannabinoid profile, terpene profile, mycotoxins, microbials, heavy metals, pesticides, and the aforementioned residual solvents. In the pet CBD space, vendors tend to be less comprehensive with their CoAs, so a big pat on the back to the folks at King Kanine.
King Kanine’s CBD line is aptly called King Calm™ with broad spectrum cannabidiol, including a robust terpene profile and cannabinoids CBDa and CBN. They offer CBD oil tinctures, CBD paw balm, CBD anti-itch spray, CBD crunchy treats, and CBD Mange & Mite Spray.
Our favorites, which we also consider the most innovative the CBD catalog has to offer, are the CBD oil tinctures and the CBD spray for mange and mites. The former features Antarctic krill oil as the primary carrier, a superfood rich in omega-3s and a very unique choice we haven’t seen yet. Their CBD Mange & Mite Spray is also one of the first of its kind. And while we must disclose this CBD spray contains propylene glycol (an unnatural ingredient), we think the ends justify the means here. Mange and mites are nasty conditions hard on both pets and owners alike.
The company’s pet grooming tools are equally awesome, but since they don’t contain CBD, we won’t review them here.
King Kanine is a business ambassador to the ASPCA, and part of their role is to fundraise and increase awareness, earning them our Charity Badge. They’re also known for organizing local events that celebrate the love between pets and their owners. We have to ask ourselves, what’s not to love about this conscious brand?
Bottom Line – King Kanine earns a perfect score from us, and we consider them one of the top pet CBD vendors in the space right now
