Neurogan: 60-Second Summary
Heard of hygge? It’s the Danish word that invokes finding enjoyment in the simple things in life. And what better way to do so than get healthy with some CBD oil! Neurogan was founded by Jan Brandup who grew up in Denmark and experienced a personal history with hemp. He eventually persuaded a family member to convert their corn farm into a hemp farm and Neurogan was born. Neurogan now offers one of the broadest selections of CBD products in the field.
Neurogan Review
It all started when Jan Brandup, co-founder of Neurogan, was a boy in Denmark, where he experienced hemp as part of daily life. In fact, Scandinavians have grown hemp for centuries, and Neurogan asserts that it’s been big there since the Vikings!
Jan eventually convinced a family member to switch their farm from corn to hemp, and thus, Neurogan began. The Neurogan hemp plants purportedly include genetics from over 100 different varieties, offering a stellar assortment of beneficial cannabinoids and other phytochemicals.
One of our top reasons to consider Neurogan is the care they give to growing their hemp. We’ve found that companies that prioritize, pay attention to, and better yet, control the way their hemp is cultivated have a higher level of quality and transparency. Neurogan fits the bill with their slow-grown, non-GMO hemp grown in the Scandinavian sunshine. They then ship the raw material to San Diego where it is extracted with CO2.
The family-owned company prides itself on their Danish heritage and a straightforward, honest approach. We indeed appreciate Neurogan’s high level of transparency, especially when it comes to their ingredients. Each product page is totally comprehensive, so mad props for that.
As for the Neurogan line itself, we’re looking at over two dozen CBD products here — we certainly won’t go through and say what we think about every single one. Keep in mind too that Neurogan sells other tantalizing natural products that are not mentioned below (only those that contain CBD oil). So, check out the list, and we’ll point out some cool stuff and anything you might want to know a la synthetic ingredients:
- CBD oil drops and sprays in THC-free or full spectrum
- CBD vape cartridges and vape juice (PG/VG blend)
- CBD topicals – There are quite a few options from Neurogan in this category, our favorite of which is the CBD acne cream with babchi oil and full spectrum cannabidiol. There’s nothing too scary in the line like parabens, but the following contains at least two synthetics: CBD face cream, CBD peppermint rub, CBD night serum.
- CBD pet oil
- CBD dog treats
- CBD for horses – Neurogan has been on our radar for a while now, and it’s mainly because of horses! The brand was one of the first to market CBD pellets (they call the product ‘granules’) specifically for equine friends. Neurogan also offers CBD horse chews and even CBD massage oil for horses. We love that they’ve put in the time and energy to make CBD for these sensitive creatures. Innovation Badge earned.
- CBD softgels
- CBD gummies – Note, “food coloring” is listed in the ingredients.
- CBD hemp flower and pre-rolls
- CBD hemp cigarettes
- CBD cookies
- CBD mints
- CBD tea
- CBD capsules (ground CBD hemp, NOT CBD oil)
All in all, Neurogan is a solid and trustworthy vendor. They don’t currently qualify for our Safety Badge, since test results are not readily available to view online. The Charity Badge is also a miss, for now. Still, we think there are good things happening at Neurogan.
Bottom Line – Neurogan has a remarkably large selection of CBD products from hemp grown with love in Denmark. They are a forward-thinking, animal-loving, hemp-obsessed group we are keeping our eye on for more badges in the future.

I have used this oil for over a month (was a regular and user prior 3 years & was looking for a higher dosage)& all of the symptoms I dealt with that caused me to start using cbd oil, returned. I tried reaching out to Neurogan. No response. I left a review & it’s not posted… I’m not sure how long they take but they have no bad reviews and I can’t imagine I’m the only one who’s experienced it with this oil as a matter of fact I know I’m not BBC my friend & I both bought this brand. Me from their website her from a local cbd store in Ohio. She’s hanging the same issues. I would not recommend this oil. Everything they state sounds good but the 2oz bottle of 4000mg cinnamon I bought was no good. It tastes nothing like cinnamon… more like chemicals & it irritates my throat & does nothing for my pain or anxiety. Their product doesn’t back up their claims.
