TeraHemp: 60-Second Summary
TeraHemp has a wide range of CBD products to offer, but the company seems to focus on CBD edibles, with a number of different CBD gummies, chocolates, and even cannabidiol-infused chocolate chip cookies available. But there’s not quite enough information included on the site for us to definitively award many of our badges.
TeraHemp Brand Review
TeraHemp doesn’t offer up much information about itself as a company, though it says it hopes to promote healthy and happy lifestyles through the natural benefits of CBD oil.
Still, there’s a wide range of cannabidiol products available, including a number of different CBD edibles and CBD oils, as well as cannabidiol-infused capsules, a CBD topical ointment, and CBD tinctures for pets. (Make sure to be careful with administering these to your furry friends; they contain a pretty high amount of cannabidiol.)
TeraHemp says its cannabidiol is 100% natural and cultivated from high quality sources, yet we find no other mention or evidence of this. Lab results are available – which we applaud – but unfortunately, only for two of the company’s myriad products: its 250mg and 500mg CBD oil tinctures.
And TeraHemp utilizes the solvent extraction method to collect its cannabidiol, which we aren’t the biggest fans of, as it is more likely to leave behind residual toxins in the CBD oil it yields.
Aside from its extraction method of choice, we’d also call attention to a few ingredients involved in TeraHemp’s products. Its CBD gummies include the unfortunate food dyes Red 40, Yellow 5, and Blue 1, which are all widely used in the food industry but have been flagged in the past by the FDA or other notable organizations for possible links to ADHD and carcinogens, among other concerns. Similar concerns have also been raised about titanium dioxide, which TeraHemp also includes in its CBD gummies, though studies on these links are sparse and results are mixed.
And other tasty-sounding CBD edibles, including a range of CBD chocolates and cannabidiol-infused chocolate chip cookies, don’t have any ingredients listed at all.
Prices for TeraHemp’s products, ranging from anywhere from $8 to $40 for its CBD edibles, $40 to $200 for its CBD oil tinctures (depending on strength and size), and $40 to $70 for its topical cream, CBD capsules, and CBD oil for pets.
Bottom line: There are plenty of products on offer at TeraHemp, but unfortunately, not as much information. We appreciate that the company has posted test results for a few of its products, but in order to award a safety badge, we like to see full results for each CBD item the company sells. They also miss the mark on our quality badge, as they provide few details on the origin of their hemp and use the liquid solvent extraction method, which we don’t prefer compared to other available options.
