Wildflower: 60-Second Summary
Wildflower signed a wholesale agreement with one of the world’s largest retail brokers, and as such is poised for a prominent role in the CBD industry. Alas, we are sorely disappointed with the lack of discussion on not only source material, but also laboratory testing for common contaminants. With great power comes great responsibility, and we hope that Wildflower steps up to the plate to give the people peace of mind that they are consuming a quality product.
Wildflower Brand Review
Because Wildflower signed a wholesale brokerage agreement with one of the world’s largest retail brokers, we have high expectations for their product quality. Their packaging and branding is beautiful, and their price points and variety are on target; items on wildflower.ca (via their CBD store at buywildflower.com) range from $30 to $80, and include a pain-relieving balm, CBD-infused soap, capsules, and disposable vape pens attuned for various purposes (“Aches” or “Immunity”), or an entire limited edition “CBD Wellness Kit” for $219, which contains all of their CBD products.
While they do tell us that supercritical CO2 extraction is their preferred technique to obtain the full spectrum of cannabinoids for their products, there is no information about the origin of the hemp plants harvested for their products. Furthermore, there is a total lack of discussion regarding contaminants testing, and a subsequent lack of Certificates of Analysis anywhere on the site.
The testimonials do seem as though actual customers wrote them, however, and they speak to a cannabis brand that’s beloved in Washington, and is committed to bringing high-quality CBD to the rest of the country. Rather than leaving it up to educated guesses, however, we encourage Wildflower to commit to greater transparency and step up with the relevant facts and documentation CBD consumers want to see. We want to believe – we just need a little bit of physical data to put our concerns to rest.
